I wish I'd had them sharpened years ago!

“I’ve had my Mundial block of knives for years and over time they’ve lost their sharpness, to the point where I barely use them anymore. It was easier to use a steak knife to cut most things, which was frustrating because of its small size, plus I spent a few hundred dollars on the Mundial knives and they weren’t being used.

We have one of those pull-through sharpeners, but that takes forever to use and doesn’t do a great job anyway, so it just sits in the drawer.

I was so excited to hear about Monte’s service through my family, because he specialises in kitchen knives and we received them back the same day. You don’t get that anywhere else in Toowoomba.

The knives came back so nicely wrapped, it was like getting a birthday present! And the sharpness was amazing. Each knife sliced straight through a tomato with barely any pressure. My husband was so excited he wasted a couple of tomatoes seeing how thin he could slice them. I’m sure the knives weren’t this sharp when we bought them. And Monte even removed the big chip from the chef knife where I was trying to hack a bone. You’d never know. 

Now I don’t have that nagging feeling when I’m writing up the shopping list for the week. I don’t need to avoid certain types of meat or vegetables because they’re too hard to cut up. Cooking is suddenly a lot easier because my husband is always keen to use the knives for any slicing and chopping that needs to be done. I wish I’d had them professionally sharpened years ago!”
